CEDLAS, created in 2002, is a research institute that studies distributive, labor and social problems in Central, Latin America and the Caribbean. It is part of the faculty of economic sciences, at the National University of la Plata.
Research topics include:
income distribution and inequality
ethnicity and the millennium development goals
growth and income poverty
The center has worked in collaboration with a number of multilateral organizations including the World Bank and the UN. The website, in Spanish, contains information about the center’s current activities and publications, some of which are available for download.
