- Isher Judge Ahluwalia is currently Vice Chairperson, Planning Board, Punjab, and Member, National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, Government of India. She served as Director and Chief Executive of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) in New Delhi from 1997 to 2001 and is now its Board Chair. She is also Chairperson, Board of Trustees, IFPRI (International Food Policy Research Institute), Washington, D.C. Dr. Ahluwalia was a member of the Commission on Macro-Economics and Health set up by the WHO in January 2000.
- Her research has focused on industrial development and economic liberalization in India. Dr. Ahluwalia received her M.A. (Econ) and Ph.D. from the Delhi School of Economics and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, respectively. Her book, “Industrial Growth in India: Stagnation since the Mid-Sixties” received the Batheja Memorial Award for the best book on the Indian economy in 1987. “India’s Economic Reforms and Development: Essays for Manmohan Singh”, which she co-edited with Prof. I.M.D Little, was also widely acclaimed.

- Until July 2007, Lyn Squire was President of the Global Development Network. After gaining his Ph.D. from Cambridge University, Lyn spent most of his professional career at The World Bank. Among other positions, Lyn has served as Director of the Research Department, and as Director of the 1990 ‘World Development Report on Poverty. He has published extensively on project evaluation, agricultural household models, poverty and inequality.

- Prof. Landesmann is the Scientific Director of The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) and Professor of Economics, Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Basel, European Institute and Visiting Fellows Programme; Economic Research Division; Directorate General Economic and Financial Affairs; European Commission, Brussels. Prof. Landesmann is the Managing Editor of 'Structural Change and Economic Dynamics'; (formerly Oxford University Press, now Elsevier-North Holland Publ.), a Member of the Editorial Board of the Cambridge Journal of Economics, Member of the International Advisory Board of the ‘International Journal of Business and Society’ and Member of the Editorial Board of the ‘Journal of International Economics and Economic Policy’. He specializes in macroeconomic analysis, international economics, economic growth, applied economics: industry, trade and economic growth; international economic integration; structural change and economic dynamics. Prof. Landesmann holds a D. Phil. from Oxford University.
